| ASBESTOS
Asbestos fibers in the form of dust released into the air can be
a health hazard with long-term exposure. However, if asbestos is
intact or sealed properly, the hazard is minimal or non existent.
Sampling for asbestos can be referred to a qualified lab. Click

CARBON MONOXIDE (CO) TESTING
Homes today are much more air-tight than ever. With many more appliances
that exhaust to the outside, there is a much greater risk of producing
and retaining carbon monoxide (CO) in homes than ever before. This
is evidenced by cases where occupants of houses have been killed
by carbon monoxide poisoning. Tests have also indicated the cumulative
effects of low dosages of CO on the human body. With these facts
in mind, it would be a good idea to evaluate the risks a house poses
to this problem. We have state-of-the-art equipment that samples
air and gives the concentration of CO under present conditions.
Although there are many variables to the testing that can be performed
and it is impossible to test all risks, our testing will give a
strong indication of the risks present for this deadly killer. |

| LEAD
PAINT INSPECTION
Lead based paint can be found in homes built prior to 1978. It can
create a health hazard especially for children. Our subcontractors
are state certified lead evaluators. Their extensive reports meet
all state EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) guidelines. Click

paint.. |

| PEST
INSPECTION
A pest inspection, sometimes referred to as a termite inspection,
is included in the basic inspection. Our inspectors furnish FHA
approved reports following a thorough inspection for wood destroying
organisms such as ants, termites, and powder post beetles. |

| RADON
in AIR TESTING
Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the world, second
only to smoking. Radon is the by-product of uranium decomposing
in the earth. Radon gas rises through the earth and comes out in
free air and dissipates. If this gas comes out in a basement of
a house and is allowed to concentrate, it becomes a health concern.
The greater the concentration, the greater the health concern. These
factors are further complicated if the person is a smoker or has
a compromised immune system. We use state-of-the-art continuous
tamper resistant monitors to test for radon concentrations. These
monitors record hourly readings of temperature, humidity, barometric
pressure and radon. Further information can be obtained through
EPA publications or their web site listed in the links section of
this site. Click for more information on radon. |

SEPTIC
SYSTEM INSPECTION
We strongly recommend a thorough evaluation of this system if your
house has on-site sewage disposal. If this system fails, the repair
costs could be significant. Our septic inspections include evaluating
the structural integrity of the septic tank, the bacterial action
of the tank on wastewater, and the condition of the soil absorption
field. We can arrange for pumping of the septic tank at an additional
cost. This pumping should be performed at the time of the inspection.

| WATER
TESTING
Our state approved laboratory provides a wide range of tests. A
Basic Profile includes bacteria tests (potability) and inorganic
materials tests. The potability determines if the water is safe
to drink and the inorganic materials tests determine the user-friendly
status of the water. Additional tests can be performed for volatile
organic compounds, lead in water, radon in water, and any other
contaminate which is of concern. |

| WELL
FLOW TESTING
Our well flow test addresses the question as to whether you will
have enough water for domestic purposes. We test the flow at 4-5
gallons per minute for one hour. If the flow is maintained at this
rate, there will generally be an adequate supply of water. The variables
include number of people, lifestyle, pump capacity, and static water
storage as well as other factors. |
